While field trips are integral to our academic program, we also make use of more traditional classroom settings.
At our Kenya camp, the students will learn in classrooms set up in large “safari-style” tents. These tents, which are approximately 7.5m by 4.5 m, have large screened windows, floors, and spectacular views of the savannah right outside their doors. They all have power (from solar panels but with a back-up generator) and are equipped with computer projectors and screens. Students will be expected to bring their own laptops and will have Internet access as part of their learning. Please note that the Grade 11 Technological Communications course requires some special software. Scientific equipment will be available for analysis of samples collected in the field.
